Amanda Cruz - CNA
Professional Biography
I was born and raised in California in an immigrant family from Mexico. At the age of 11, my parents and I moved to Utah, which has been our home ever since. Growing up, I was inspired by my parents’ strong work ethic and dedication to helping others. My mom works in the dental field, while my dad helps renovate people’s homes. Their commitment to serving others has had a lasting impact on who I am today.
After graduating from high school in 2022, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Through this experience, I discovered a genuine passion for caring for others and developed an even stronger interest in the medical field. I am currently attending Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), where I am working toward my nursing degree. My long-term goal is to continue my education and earn a doctoral degree in healthcare. I hope to become the first person in my family to earn a degree in the medical field and to use my career to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading, crafting, spending time with my dogs, going on walks with my parents, and making memories with my friends. I value family, compassion, hard work, and continuous growth, and I hope to carry these qualities with me throughout my education and future career in healthcare.
