
Medicare Based Incentive Payment Consultant/Billing Specialist​
We are hiring for a Medicare Merit Based Incentive Payment Consultant/Billing Specialist. If you are dedicated and ambitious, Mobile Medical Group is an ideal place to get ahead. This position is available at our Murray, Utah Location. This position can be full time, part-time or consultant based. Terms & hours are negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities
• We are looking for someone to train, navigate, & fast track our new company to report MIPS – Medicare Merit Base Incentive Payment System.
We are looking for someone that understands MIPS requirements & can apply them to our practice including:
• Introduce us to MIPS Reporting
• Interfacing with EMR
• Know deadlines
• Help us decide if we should report as a group or individually.
• Explain to our clinicians how to meet required goals
• How to choose which goals that our best reported by our practice.
OTHER BILLING RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understands ICD 10 and CPT coding
• Processing medical bills by sending them to patients and insurance providers as necessary
• Accurate logging of payments received from providers ad patients while maintaining current records and balances
• Maintain current records including billing addresses, contacting patients as needed
• Collecting co-payments or other fees upon admittance
• Help patients understand billing and charges for which they are responsible
• Follow up on delinquent payments and resubmit billing as needed
• Ability to multitask
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
• Advanced experience with MIPS reporting
• 2 years’ medical billing experience preferred
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficient in excel
• Accurate 10-key abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous and friendly manner
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
• Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
• Must be able to always maintain confidentiality
